Hello, I'm Gahongx Wang, an ordinary 17-year-old student. Using code as my tool, pixels as my brush, and persistence as my habit, I'm steadily exploring and growing within the worlds of front-end development and creative expression.
Skills & Interests
My skills
- Web Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Backend Fundamentals: PHP
- Visual Creation: Simple pixel art, pixel icons
- Other: Familiar with JSON, INI, XML, and other configuration file formats
My interests
- Listening to music: I just listen to whatever sounds good — I go with the flow. I especially love the many memorable and beloved songs and music I've discovered in video games, such as those from the Figment series, Dredge, and more.
- Playing video games: My favorite is the sandbox game Minecraft. I enjoy trying out all kinds of games on various platforms.
- Surfing the web: Exploring all kinds of websites and discovering unique, interesting content.
- Playing TRPGs: I love Dungeons & Dragons the most, and I'm also quite interested in Call of Cthulhu. Of course, I'm always eager to try new things.
Why "Gahongx Wang" (王ㄐㄏ) ?
Gahong is the phonetic transliteration of my Chinese given name.
I added the letter x to make it unique and modern — like how file formats evolved from doc to docx — representing "next generation" and growth.
Wang (王) is my family name, in standard Pinyin (The official and most widely used Romanization system for Chinese).
The ㄐㄏ (jh) comes from the Zhuyin (A traditional phonetic alphabet used to pronounce Chinese, especially common in Taiwan) initials of my given name, connecting me to my cultural roots.
Together, Gahongx Wang is a mix of tradition, identity, and modern style — uniquely me.

About here
To be honest, this is a simple website created by a beginner in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. It may appear rough and unpolished, so I hope you can overlook its imperfections. With that in mind, let us encourage and support one another, and work together to build a better internet.

Slackershop 3.1 |
This is Gahongx Slackershop, a personal little site with a retro tech aesthetic. Built with a Windows 3.1 interface design and pure vanilla HTML/CSS/JavaScript, it's clean and lightweight. This space is where I store my front-end practice drafts, works, notes, daily records, and all sorts of random bits and bobs — it's not just a coding playground and my personal workshop, but also a quiet little spot to slack off.
What this site does?
This site is where I keep my personal projects, front-end practice, drafts, hobbies, notes, and fun stories, and more. It's also a way for me to show my love for old computer culture, old internet culture, and classic old UI designs.
Why use the Windows 3.1 style?
I'm a nostalgic person, so I personally coded this simple, easy-to-use Windows 3.1 CSS style (win3-1.css) — one that's even compatible with Internet Explorer 6 — and decided to use it for my personal website.
