Good Web Search is an extension for Chromium-based browsers that automatically adjusts search parameters for better results. It currently works for Google, with some features working for Ecosia, StartPage, DuckDuckGo, Brave, and Bing.
- Download latest release
- Open web browser and navigate to extension page
- Toggle “Developer mode” switch to enable
- Drag and drop extension file onto page
- Review extension and select "Keep this extension"

Click extension icon and toggle checkboxes to turn features off and on. Disabled options are not available for current search engine.
- "'Web' search" forces Google search to use web mode
- "Before 2023" appends "before:2023" to search queries
- "No AI" appends "-ai" to search queries
