What is Macusta?
Macusta is a collection of native macOS utilities, each designed to do one thing perfectly. Our apps are built with Swift and optimized for Apple Silicon.
What apps do you offer?
We currently offer two apps: BrightMax (push your MacBook Pro display to 1600 nits XDR brightness) and VanishDesk (auto-hide desktop icons during screen recordings and presentations).
Which Macs are supported?
All our apps support Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4 and later). BrightMax requires a MacBook Pro with an XDR display. VanishDesk works with any Mac running macOS 13 Ventura or later.
How much do your apps cost?
Each app is a one-time purchase of $9.99. No subscriptions, no recurring fees. You pay once and get all future updates included.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes! All our apps offer a free 14-day trial. Download any app and try all features before purchasing.
Do your apps collect any data?
No. None of our apps collect personal data or analytics. Everything runs entirely on your Mac. Your privacy matters to us.
How many devices per license?
Each license allows use on 1 device. You can deactivate your current device and activate on a different one at any time through the app settings.
Do I have to pay for updates?
No. All our apps are one-time purchases with free lifetime updates. No subscriptions, ever.
How do I get support?
You can reach us via email. We typically respond within 24 hours. Each app also has its own dedicated FAQ page with app-specific questions.
Why native apps?
We build exclusively with Swift and native macOS APIs. This means our apps launch instantly, use minimal system resources, and integrate seamlessly with your Mac. No Electron, no web wrappers.
