Welcome to the Kinen Motion Control System. Kinen is an open source hardware design and specification to support a variety of controllers commonly used in motion control and other projects. Kinen provides a modular framework to assemble specialized control electronics with a minimum of new custom development.

Kinen specifies both a hardware compatibility layer and provides tools for accessing embedded hardware as RESTful devices. Kinen provides cross platform REST/JSON code and conventions for RESTful usage.
