Backend engineer focused on building tools that stay out of your way. Mostly Go, occasionally Python or TypeScript when the situation calls for it.
Tech Stack
- Go — primary language, most of my tooling and services
- Python — scripting, automation, glue code
- TypeScript — frontend when I can't avoid it
- Docker, Linux, a healthy amount of shell scripting
What I work on
Mostly CLI tools and backend infrastructure — things that run quietly in the background and don't require a lot of hand-holding. I tend to gravitate toward projects where the interface is a terminal and the success metric is "it just works."
Currently
- Tinkering with some internal DevOps tooling
- Getting more comfortable with infrastructure-as-code patterns
- Slowly convincing myself that TypeScript is fine, actually
Find me
- GitHub is probably the best place
- Occasionally post on things when I have something worth saying
