Summary

  • Replace rejected Meshy GLB model (looked like a scorpion) with procedural canvas animation
  • Two-frequency idle wave: head searches side-to-side with vertical bob for organic feel
  • Snake-strike attack every 4s: coil back → lunge down → return
  • Tentacle sway with per-tentacle phase offsets

Test plan

  • Open creature lab viewer, confirm carrion crawler has visible head waving at idle
  • Wait for attack cycle, confirm head lunges downward
  • Compare ASCII rendering quality with renderOverrides

Replace GLB model (rejected — looked like a scorpion) with procedural
canvas animation. Two-frequency idle wave makes the head search and bob
